ST Marx! What a place. A giant playground, garden,
skatepark, nestled in the ruins of capitalist neglect,
resisting the absurdities of public money invested in multinational corporations.
In the month before the eviction, in 2026 I set up a self organised residency in the autonomous zone of St Marx in Vienna, documenting the place and contributing to it in face of the threat of eviction. As the sculptures were integrated into the existing structures, they were destroyed by the police during the eviction. The paintings, however, were kept and given to the activists involved as keepsakes of the space they invested so much into. Some were also sold to raise money for legal fees.
